The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton

5.0

As with the previous edition, it did not disappoint. The characters are well-developed and are beyond enjoyable. The Belles themselves richly and expertly rendered; alive with color, depth and allure. The whole novel reads as some sumptuously tiered and decorated creme cake. An exquisitely displayed pastry we have all been invited to dine on and participate in its decadence. I can not express enough to you how much I enjoyed continuing my need for the beauty work of each of Ms. Clayton's characters. Beginning with the rivalry of Amber and Camille; to the forbidden love of Camille and Remi. I hope that I do not fall into oblivion of the Grie, while I wait for the sequel to this novel. It would be a shame for me to become a Maniacal Wasp Teacup Pet like Princess Sofia. Such a shame that would be, don't you think?
