'I started to find joy in small things, and that's exactly what I longed for, if I ever fall in love'

Poetry is a way of expressing your deepest, darkest emotions. It makes you start loving yourself again and gives you a clearer perspective of your own self again. Like the same, this book is a collection of poetry and prose about love, heartache and healing.
.
First of all, this book has been divided into three parts which deals with different emotions. Some might even say they overlap, but you can quite easily place the emotions in different categories. The writing was really simple, neat and conveyed the right emotions at the right time. The formats of all the poetry/prose were all simple too which was also a plus. The book is quite short, and you can easily get through this in an hour or less.
.
Although it is a collection of unique poems, the emotions these poems convey or the choice of words might seem very familiar and can feel repetitive. And at times I felt the lines were too familiar and it did not sit well with the complete reading experience. Not every line can be unique because of the amount of sentences that exists, but it could have had different choices of words or phrases to give a personal touch. This is my personal reading experience, and might not feel the same to you.
.
Overall, this book is a very good collection of prose and poetry with really nice and simple writing, good amount of emotions, and easy to read prose format. If you are looking for a Poetry starter kit, definitely check this book out! It is definitely worth your reading time.
