“But now change is frightening to some,” she concedes after a little while. “And when you open your heart to rewilding a landscape, the truth is, you’re opening your heart to rewilding yourself.”
A story about conservation, sisters, wolves and humans and their interaction with nature.
The amount of domestic and animal abuse was rather frequent, gritty, and stomach-churning. In contrast, the prose is lyrical and wistful—there’s so much love for nature and its creature inhabitants laced throughout this story.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Domestic abuse
