The Road Not Taken and Other Poems: (penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) by Robert Frost

4.5

We love the things we love for what they are.

It was such a pleasure to go back and read some classic Robert Frost - I can see the clear through-line from his work to some of my favorite contemporary American poets and authors like Mary Oliver and Barbara Kingsolver. I surprised myself by really enjoying Frost's lengthy narrative poems (the majority of North of Boston) - they often feature a few characters in a single setting but the conversations and revelations are life-changing.
