Based on a few reviews of this I saw upon its release, I expected this to be explicitly funnier. But, really, I found this to be a well-crafted, quirky, and surprisingly charming journey with a character! Elle Fanning’s narration really worked for me, and I found the switches in POV quite intriguing; I finished this in two sittings.
