This book was such a disappointment that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. I made it 85% through and even then, the core story described within the back cover synopsis has barely been mentioned. There are far too many characters and disparate storylines that seem to inter-relate but ultimately, never come together holistically; each merely repeats common threads --without ever revealing new information or establishing a solid connection. Very interesting topics, time periods, and location but ultimately the story dies under lackluster narratives and sloppy storytelling.
