I really enjoyed most of this book. There were many parts that even had me on the edge of my seat, anxious for what was going to happen. The only downside for me was the ending. It felt everlasting and unbelievable (in a bad way).

Once I found out the story was a fable being told by an elder, the dramatics made a little more sense but it still fell flat. Instead of making me more excited/anxious with each time Denorah almost gets caught, I was just rolling my eyes at the amount of conveniences in her situation.
