I recently started rewatching BBC’s Merlin and so wanted to read something with similar vibes. I really liked the sound of the premise for this book, but I have to admit that it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. It felt pretty slow and just not all that engaging. I liked the characters, but not quite enough for me to feel really connected to them. I really wanted to like this one more, but it is what it is, I suppose.
