I had as much fun listening to it as I did the first time I read it. The story was done in duet narration style, and Aiden Snow and Mollie Stark did a great job at bringing the story to life.

Lila and Owen meet when Owen comes back to his hometown to help get the family lumber mill's financials in order so they can sell it, and one of his brothers hires Lila as his assistant. The physical attraction is instant, but due to the age gap between them, Lila having history with Owen's brother, and both of them already being on the bad side of the town's gossip mill, they decide to ignore it.

I loved the way their relationship developed. How even though they decided to be just friends in the beginning, there was always that chemistry and those little things they would do for each other that showed they cared. Owen was also the ultimate cinnamon roll. Hear me out, yes, he's grumpy af, but when it comes to Lila, he is the ultimate cheerleader. I loved the way he would always build her up and encourage her to follow her dreams. Lila, on the other hand, even though she also wants to leave Lovewell and expand her wings, showed Owen that their little town is not as bad as he thinks.

Quote: “You taught me that we get to create our own futures. That we can grow and heal from the past and chase our dreams. I want to do it with you, as a team, every single day.”
