The Kane siblings are tasked with taking the chaos snake Apophis down once and for all, which of course proves to be very difficult. To make matters worse, the House of Life magicians are close to breaking out in a civil war and the Egyptian gods are divided. Carter and Sadie realize that to take down Apophis, they need an ancient spell—one that only a murderous, but powerful, magician can lead them to.
This was a great conclusion to this trilogy. Sadly I didn’t find it as humorous as the other books, but it was still enjoyable. I also liked how there was a nod to Camp Half-Blood, as Drew Tanaka made a small appearance in this!
I’m sad to say goodbye to the Kane siblings, but I’m sure I will reread at some point!
