Run Towards the Danger: Confrontations with a Body of Memory by Sarah Polley

5.0

Nothing about running in this book! An incredible book from Canadian actress, film maker and activist Sarah Polley. This is a collection of auto-biographic essays relating different trauma from her life, how they have impacted her throughout the years and her path to recovering from them. This is incredibly well written and the audio will also keep your attention going.
In the process of talking about the traumatic events that she has lived through, she also puts the finger on many societal and systemic issues such as child labor, the film industry, sexual abuse or healthcare.
