- This is definitely a quick read. I wasn’t locked into the story, but it was entertaining enough. If you’re going into this book looking for some deeper commentary on theme, there’s not one. Feels very Reddit-esque in some ways.
- This book touches on some dark concepts but I don’t know that it conceptualized them well.
- I think I liked the premise of the book more than I liked the book itself. We’re told that Felix can see spirits, but that’s never really explored. The whole bit with Nonna seems extraneous and it could have either been left out entirely or expanded on more to make that plot line more applicable and appropriate to the story.
