This was a heavy and heartbreaking read about a kid who just so badly needed to be loved. It was hard to read and I wasn’t always keen to pick it up. Partially because it was really sad, but also because I felt like it dragged on a bit in some parts. It often felt like I was reading about the same sad situations over and over again without much changing.

An eye-opening read…but a tough one to get through.
