oatmilk and agave, a poememe parody by notta poette

5.0

oatmilk and agave might technically be a parody poetry book, but it's also so much more than that. it's broken up into sections and we start with the memes but quickly get into the poetry that will hurt. heartfelt, relatable, raw, and just so so good. laughed a bunch, punched in the heart a few times, wanted to hug it to my chest and never let go.

the foreword dedication to readers and fans of the not rupi facebook page? fabulous. the note to rupi herself? adorable af

pop culture references, cats, queer af, love, heartbreak, and everything in between. drawings that help bring even more to the page & feel of the lines. this is not just a parody, and if this style of poetry is your thing, I definitely recommend this. there's even a wonderful picture of one of the authors real life kitties in the end!
WE LOVE YOU, CHAI CHAI!!!
