Misery is the first novel I've ever read from King, whom is an autor that I've been meaning to approach for years. He absolutely delivered this book. At first (even though I've had heard only good opinions about him) I found myself a bit skeptical of his works because of the large amount of books he published, but I completely changed my mind once I started Misery. It hooked me from the very start. King is a master in conveying the feeling of the characters and his descriptions are so vivid it seems like you are in the room with Paul and Annie. I particularly appreciated how well we can see from the writing how Paul's mind is slowly deterioratina and finally culminating at the end.
