This was a hard one to rate. I’m not a huge fan overall, but I did enjoy it, especially for what it is. I absolutely ADORE taboo romance and forbidden love, and this book definitely delivers on that front.
It’s fast-paced, there’s not much character depth or development, but I still got attached enough to want to keep reading. Let’s be real though: I didn’t pick this up for the plot or emotional journey — I came for the forbidden, the uncomfortable, the line-crossing that makes you question things. And that’s exactly what K. Webster is known (and loved) for.
Also, I’m glad it was short. It hit the spot without dragging and I’ll read the next one
