Second last in the series. Stand alone.

Jo is a country spinster living with her father and teaching Latin. She gets an invite to a distant cousin’s scandalous house party and her father urges her to live a little.

Damian is going to the house party to look out for his friend. He’s convinced a widow is trying to trap his friend into marriage.

They meet at the party with insta-lust. It’s a bit over the top that he kisses her immediately. Jo and Damian have been corresponding for a year about shared Latin interests without realizing who the other was. They don’t have any Latin bonding in the book but there’s at least some foundation to their relationship.

The plot is Jo helping Damian protect his friend, while they get lusty with each other. It’s a decent enough plot for a novella.
