Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg

I love this book! Just as wonderful as the movie I remember from years ago - although there's a twist in the film that isn't in the novel. But that doesn't matter - the themes are there: race, poverty, nature of family and even some fat shaming. A little bit dated (ah, the '80s) but that doesn't matter either - it's a wonderful story.
