No More Tears: The Dark Secrets of Johnson & Johnson
by Gardiner Harris
informative
sad
medium-paced
I was genuinely physically tense during the entire vaginal mesh chapter 🤮 18 surgeries to take out the jagged broken plastic pieces and she STILL had pieces inside her!! Some of the reviews are knocking the author for being so intense but I really do feel it’s because J&J is still well regarded somehow + the complicity of government. I hadn’t heard ANY of these stories and I am obsessed with the news. The fact that the Supreme Court has made class action lawsuits less common is also crazy. Honestly one of the most depressing books I’ve ever read. No clear action items here besides avoiding J&J products forever but the scale of lives lost & ruined by just one company is just…I gotta go touch some grass or somethin.
