The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

2.0

This was just a little too cliché for me. I can see why others would enjoy this, it just wasn’t for me. Also, while I am completely sympathetic to Nora’s plight I also respect the writing enough to say, flat out, that she comes off as very whiny and naive. I think this is partly due to the book treating Nora as the reader who it’s beating over the head with life lessons. Unfortunately, in two words I’d describe this as depressing (for a majority of the book) and YAWN.
