Tyrant's Throne by Sebastien de Castell

4.0

This is the final book in the Greatcoats fantasy quartet. As with the preceding books, I liked it very much. The critical part of my brain found the heroes' adventures both implausible and somewhat repetitive over the course of the four books. The non-critical part of my brain felt guilty for enjoying it so much. I love Falcio (the narrator and central character) and I love several of the secondary characters. Most of all, I am partial to the friendship between Falcio, Kest, and Brastia, their banter underpinned by unswerving loyalty to each other. I was concerned that the ending would disappoint. It did not. Highly recommended.
