The Cruel Prince

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've been putting off starting this series after hearing really mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed this! Jude is an absolute BAD ASS - that's the main takeaway from book one for me. I really like how the characters are able to go between the fae and human worlds in this, it gives the world building this almost dystopian feel to it which is quite unique. After reading so many books about the fae, it's refreshing to read a story where they are traditionally cruel and foreboding.
I need a little more time with the characters to become more attached to them, but Jude is definitely going to become one of my favourite FMC's... I can feel it in my bones. And Prince Cardan? Giving big Rhysand vibes right now. Hi ;)
I tore through this in one day and I'm going to pick the sequel up straight away because I'm so intrigued about where the story is going to go next. All in all, I really enjoyed this and feel like future books have 5 star potential!
