The grossly casual fatphobia and anti-Blackness
Moderate: Fatphobia, Racism
I was so excited to get this book, it looked like a story of desi queerness validated by religion/spirituality (and maybe it is that). But the immediate fatphobia and anti-Blackness isn’t acceptable, period. The author chooses to racistly judge his peers and assess their bodies using dehumanizing and very anti-Black racist language.
