TELL ME WHY all the other side characters, LIKE LITERALLY ALL OF THEM, were better than Knox. Knox was the most insufferable waste of space in this book. I watched a video where one of my BookTokers talked about how terrible he was and I didn’t realize till about halfway through HOW right she was. He constantly contradicts himself, he’s not grumpy he’s just an utter douche and more, not really attractive, way too overprotective when he shouldn’t be. One second he’s mad the next he’s horny, like, MAKE A DAMN CHOICE MAN!!! Like you switch sides in your POV’s so many times I feel like I’m reading two different people’s POV’s.
I LOVE his brothers! IM SO EXCITED for Lucian’s book! Like I’m all about the morally gray boys, AND he’s rich?! There’s a difference between morally grey and emo and that’s also a line Knox crossed, not grumpy, he’s just emo.
Lina is LITERALLY my queen. If you read the book, you won’t meet her till towards the end and she’s not a main main character in this book but the second book is about her and Nash. I haven’t even gotten to her book yet and I LOVE HER with my whole heart. She’s the “bad girl” but she’s not a pick me “bad girl”.
ANOTHER thing, THESE PEOPLE ARE IN 30s-40s AND THEY ACT LIKE CHILDREN!!!! I like childish behavior in books, it’s funny and entertaining but it gets weird when you remember how old they are supposed to be. I preferred that they would’ve been in there 20s because that’s more realistic for how they act.
There were so many weird plot lines that felt just dropped in their, kind of like dropping blocks of ice in your cup AFTER you fill it with water. Then you splash yourself and wonder why you did it in the first place.
Naomi reminded me WAY too much of me and I didn’t know how to feel about it. She could’ve done SO much better than the emo, pick me, douche man. She’s a good character though, love her and WayLays relationship.
I don’t know how to feel about the whole other story line with Naomi’s twin and her being “evil” but it kept things interesting so I didn’t hate it. Once again, they introduced the idea but just dropped the sudden action in randomly.
