I can see why this one is studied in schools. Holden is one of the most fascinating characters I've ever read. Confounding, contradictory, complicated, tender and fragile and one step away from destruction.

Spend a day in Holden's shoes, and maybe you, like I, will love this unlovable and complex young man.
