Transcending Trauma: Healing Complex Ptsd with Internal Family Systems by Frank Anderson

4.0

I realize I’m not the target audience for this book, but my therapist recommended it to me, so I read it. So much of IFS seemed to ring true with my own experiences, and I liked how accessible and insightful the first portion of the book was. The more technical bits were difficult, and I feel like the conversations with patients used to illustrate certain points or methods were distracting/took away from the points being made because they felt contrived, but overall, pleased with the understanding of IFS that I’m walking away with.
