There is just so much to say about this book?! I had heard before diving in, that Feyi is not everyone’s favorite character. So right away I was intrigued because “unlikeable” fmc’s are my FAV. After reading I can confirm that Feyi is a wonderfully complex character, and her growth was remarkable. Healing from grief is not pretty or simple, it’s ROUGH, and I appreciated how Akwaeke didn’t shy away from that. 

Now, was this messy? Yes ofc. But I thoroughly appreciated the mess. 😮‍💨👏
