This book was not for me. I gave it a honest try and even after a couple of chapters I had a hard time getting into it. I was really confused by the changing of viewpoints because the “voices” felt kind of flat and it was hard to keep track on who’s viewpoint I was reading. I’ve read a lot of fantasy and this felt less fantasy and more historical drama, and I’ve never liked books like that.
