I enjoyed the writing here, but this is one case of a novella/short novel length not being enough. I love a good novella but the pacing of this was really off and made it seem like insta-love. Even though there DEFINITELY was a lot more time that passed.
The representation is great here - Frankie is a wheelchair user due to childhood cancer and a podcaster and sexologist. She links up with Jay who teaches classes on accessible Shibari (rope kink). He has baggage from a past relationship and has to get over the fact that he is NOT just a f-boy but lovable. I believe in their chemistry and relationship, but the transformation Jay goes through needs more time especially because he's like - "no sex, I don't date" and then by the end of the night they are in bed together??? needs more time to develop. But I definitely will read from Evie Mitchell again!
