A pretty solid end to the series. Though I did find it strange that this book, which is longer and written in more complex language than the earlier ones, was somehow a simpler story told in black and white (where the earlier books had all these lovely, thought-provoking shades of gray). This book does, however, have a fantastically delicious [b:Jacob Have I Loved|337058|Jacob Have I Loved|Katherine Paterson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1388254908s/337058.jpg|1379592] slathering-lotion-on-hands moment between Parvana and her older sister Nooria.
