Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

4.0

This is the entralling tale of the orphan Oliver Twist and his life in London and the characters he meets both good and bad. The characters are well written and believable although there are some racist connotations which are typical of the time. Dickens has created London in beautifully written and vivid text. The story is believable and is still relevent today, especially with the recent economic 'turmoil' and resulting government action. It is a wonderful tale, certaintly worth reading
