Jack and Grace are one of those couples that are so perfect that it makes you sick. They are joined at the hip and shared everything, even an email address. Grace was swept off her feet by this charismatic domestic abuse lawyer that she married just after six months. However, as soon as they said 'I do', Jack showed his true colors and told her that it was the end of the dream. Grace might be living in a nightmare after all.

I was going to rate this 3 stars, but now that I'm writing this review, I'm going to kick it down a notch to a two. Okay, hear me out. This book is currently sending waves in the book community here in the Philippines, especially in the Kindle group. So, I was so intrigued since a lot of people already recommended this and they said that they could not put it down.

I'll be honest, it really did its job by keeping the reader on their toes. I felt intrigued and I wanted to know what was so bad with this picture-perfect couple. But reading through the narration... it was kind of... let's just say that it was not my cup of tea. I don't get why some of the conversations had to be narrated in a huge chunk of paragraphs. The ending was anti-climactic and the middle of the book moved slower than I expected from a psychological thriller. I liked Grace as a character but this would have been more interesting if we're knowing about this story from a POV outside of the couple (which was how I thought this book would have been written).

I'm not really recommending it. There are a lot of other better psychological thrillers out there.
