I read the first book in this trilogy a year or two ago, so it took me a few minutes to reacquaint myself with the characters and the little town they are from. Once I got back into this world, it was just like the book I remembered. I loved this family and the people who surround them. Though it's a faith-based book, Lewis doesn't overdo it with the preaching to her audience. She lets her characters' voices speak for themselves. This book leaves you on a little cliffhanger, so starting the third book immediately was necessary.
