Know My Name: The Survivor of the Stanford Sexual Assault Case Tells Her Story by Chanel Miller

emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

During the span I read this book I watched Meghan Markle bravely reveal her oppression only to be villainised , I watch women unite to mourn Sarah’s Everhards death only to be attacked, I watched a man having a bad day killing 6 Asian women trying to provide. I felt all their traumas in the pages of this book. I’m going to be honest I had a dark cloud over me reading this and I don’t recommend it unless you know you’ll be okay reading it because this is a very difficult book. Despite all this I feel so empowered now. I feel like I can see a light for all these strong women which may be cliche but the truth is this book is proof we are strong enough to stop this from happening again! We will win!
