I wanted to read this when it first came out, but the Kindle edition was seven million dollars in Australia so I just kept waiting for it to go on sale but it never did. Thankfully, my local library eventually came to the rescue with the audiobook. And I'm extremely glad I waited and listened to the audiobook because Miller narrates it herself and it was an incredibly powerful reading experience.

As an Australian, a lot of the details of the case were new to me - the case didn't make the news here until Miller's victim impact statement hit Buzzfeed. But what stands out here more than the details of the case itself is the ongoing impact it's had on Miller's life to this day. An extremely powerful and well crafted book.
