Midnight Is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead

mysterious slow-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Plot
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? No
  • Diverse cast of characters? No

2.0

SYNOPSIS:
  • The book jumps around, but it is about Ruth, the preacher’s daughter, in a town in the deep south.
  • Some murders happen.

MY THOUGHTS
  • This felt very YA to me.
  • The book references Twilight SO many times that it’s out of control.
  • Slow paced + not great character development
  • Had to force myself to finish this book

TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️why does this mention Twilight 1,000 times?
