I really enjoyed the first half of this book.. but the second half really fell flat for me. I personally didn't give a rats ass about the town history. It was... boring imo. The sneaking around and hiding their romance was probably my favorite part but the whole town fued thing was really over the top for me.

And even though this book was okay and I'm sure other people will love it, it's just not it for me. I'd never reread again and tbh I'm sure this book will get lost in my mind along with the hundreds of other books I've read. Nothing stands out about it besides a few really good lines.

The spice was like chopping down on a piece of wheat toast.
