The Awakening of Ivy Leavold by Sierra Simone

4.0

I was surprised by how much I liked this book. I am not a big fan of period novels, but the mysterious feeling that this book gives off, as well as Ivy herself, drew me in. Throughout the book I couldn't put it down, I had some misgivings, but I want to know more about Mr. Markham and his history with his prior wives and how Ivy falls into his life. This book does end with a cliffhanger of sorts, needing the next book to find out what happens next, whether violets death was murder or if Ivy and Markham will marry. I will be buying the second book; I was entranced.
