Nightstrider is a beautifully written fantasy with detailed world-building, lovely romance, and an intriguing plot. One of my highly anticipated books of the year and it did not disappoint!!!
Usually with high fantasies there is an overload of world-building information that can be hard to get through, but Slade does an excellent job of introducing this world in a way that is not confusing or overwhelming. I loved how descriptive the writing is. It really makes an immersive setting and paints the scenery well.
Multiple POVs! My favorite! Every character is so well written. Wren…I just want to hug her. Ila too. They became some of my favorite FMCs. Alaric and Caine are both so charming in their own ways. Caine being immediately down bad for Ila was so fun to read.
Overall, this book is so, so good. The pacing was great. The ending??? I will be patiently awaiting the next book!! Thank you NetGalley and Orbit Books for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
