It was a sweet book with in depth descriptions on the characters and their flaws and motivations. Could really feel the complexity of being black in England.
I really loved Dominique’s story and found I couldn’t stop reading until I finished that chapter. Did not feel the same for most other chapters
it was hard to keep track of all the characters to really get the most of the book when they connected back again. I’m glad I read the book and enjoyed it. Though it won’t be one that I’ll be thinking about reading again.
