I do usually enjoy dystopian urbanistic stories, this one felt too bleak and flat. Although the Town itself and its division with people who are welcome/tolerated/ignored reflect the situation that is already happening in some countries, the characters and their motivation remained a bit of a mystery for me. Everyone is suffering and dying here without no fucking reason.
Also this book is totally different from “Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982”, genre wise and impact wise.
