Palace of Stone by Shannon Hale

5.0

This sequel was perfect! In some following books it seems like the authors forget a little bit about their characters and it's like reading a new book, but [a:Shannon Hale|49177|Shannon Hale|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1299093233p2/49177.jpg] keeps her characters consistent while still having them grow and mature in a believable way. The author is also magnificent in foreshadowing; she gives clever little signs along the book that leave you guessing, but at the same time they aren't predictable-a characteristic appearing in all three books. A lot of reviewers seem to dislike this book the most out of the series, but I think it's another gem, not to mention it has the prettiest cover of the three.
