Naomi's Room by Jonathan Aycliffe

5.0

I had seen Naomi's Room here and there on book-pages of avid readers of horror. I think when looking for a book to really scare you to the core then its always best to take the recommendations of those that are well-read in the genre.
This book chilled me to the bone at some parts and I absolutely lived for it! Jonathan has this ability to set up some unbelievably suspenseful and unnerving scenes and characters that are just as sinister. Naomi's Room had me dependant on reading into the night and gave me some alarming dreams (I suppose I should call them nightmares) afterwards.
This is why I enjoy older tales of horror so much, there is something lacking in recent horror-books that I never struggle to find in ones from the 90's and earlier. The copy I have is old and tattered which just made it even more delightful to read!
