Well a weird thing has happened this morning.
I finished this book last night and today I am actually thinking about this world and her boys (Team Torrez) and what they might be doing next. Points for that so 3.5 stars instead of 3.
This one read more of a manual of how-to for magic and about magic. And I learned all about the different types of magic, the spells, the lamia, the Sentinels, history, etc. It was a bit dry so I sped thru the explanations and in-fighting, because the shit hit the fan with all the egos to deal with.
And changing events, it definitely moved along. I liked the glimpse into the lamia world and I do approve of the new addition to her harem. How many guys can a woman handle??
Between the Chosen and Shields, I think we have enough characters, don't you?
Oh and I caught a blurb that mentioned they had been in Belarus for 2 weeks training and with 6 hot guys, there was no sex for the whole 2 weeks? I call BS, because NO WAY.
