It’s been a minute since I genuinely did not want a book to end and it wished it was longer so I could spend more time with the characters. While I went into this book expecting it to be funny and cute, I did NOT expect it to make me sob hysterically, shift my perspective on life and burrow into my soul. It may only be January, but there’s a high chance this is going to be a favorite of the year if not my #1 favorite.
Set in London, the premise of this book is 13 Going on 30 except instead of 13, she’s 26 going on awful dates, having a hard time at work and feeling broke and she wishes to skip the “good part” of her life. She then wakes up at age 42 married with two kids with no recollection of the past 16 years. I really don’t want to give much away because I loved going in with just this information, so all I’ll say is that I loved it and it’s perfect and you should please read this book.
Thanks for buddy reading with me, @taylsbookshelf! Loved chatting and so glad we both loved it so much.
