The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder by David Grann

5.0

🌊 The Wager By David Grann 🌊

A ship tries to round Cape Horn in the choppy seas around the southern tip of South America. A wreck, mutiny, and murder ensue. But whose story can be believed after multiple castaways wash up around the globe?

This non-fiction book is one of the best I’ve read. And I was a history major! I loved how the author wove the story together in a narrative format without neglecting the primary sources. I’ve never studied or read much about the age of exploration and early imperialism so I loved exploring this insight. If you liked the Pirates of the Caribbean movies I think you would like this book.

Totes recommend!
