My book review of The Maze Runner by James Dashner. 3 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
“It’s kind of hard to ask a dead guy what he did wrong.”
So the first 100 pages were brutal. I had known what the main character went through, and now he’s forgotten everything and managed to get himself trouble, and yet, he wants to continue with the trouble. I’m having a hard time deciding whether it was a good idea to put myself through the first two series of the prequel novels before I read this one, or not. I was mad because of what the MC had gone through and it pissed him off because his adventure is not over yet.
“You get lazy, you get sad. Start givin’ up. Plain and simple.”
I feel for this guy. He’s just a freaking kid, now forced to go through all this because he’s some smarty pants. I’m hoping the last novel that ties everything together will be great.
