The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams by Stacy Schiff

3.0

I heard really great things about this book, so I was surprised that it seemed like such a trek to get through. Full transparency - this is the first historical biography I have read so I have no idea how it compares to others in its genre. The thing I struggled most with the book was the flow. I thought it was just me until I read other reviews that said the same thing. I feel like I comprehended about 60% of the story because I couldn’t keep track of where I was within the story and who was there. Regardless, I’m still glad I read it because I learned quite a lot!
