Childhood enemies --> Enemies --> Enemies with benefits --> Lovers

What a fun story! This is actually my second Enemies to Lovers novel by Roxie Noir and despite the similar theme, Roxie Noir was able to make it distinct and interesting. I really enjoyed reading the novel.

Quotes I love:

"It feels almost like a cosmic joke, that we're so physically compatible. If only we never had to talk, we'd be the perfect couple."

"'I think we should be friends with benefits,' she says. 'Are we friends?' I ask after a moment." - LMAO THIS CRACKED ME UP.

They have so many fun banter in this book I could highlight everything.

What I loved:
- The banter between the couple! Despite what Eli, the MMC says, his fights with Violet, the FMC-- never made me feel annoyed, because it always seemed like flirtatious banter coupled with the thick sexual tension between them that really amped up the situation. It just felt like the two of them were standing on the precipice of something bigger, something deeper-- and I really enjoyed experiencing that with them.
- The Loveless brothers are an interesting bunch, and we're introduced to them in this novel, with a fair bit of chapters about them so that we get to know their different personalities and hangups. I especially adore the banters between Eli and his brothers when they're giving him shit about his non-relationship with Violet. It is hilarious and I cracked up laughing several times because that's what siblings do.
- Gosh, the SMUT! WAS! HOT! 🔥🔥🔥 I especially liked the part when Eli was writing his name with HIS TONGUE. 😏 Great chapters. And then they fight, and then they fk, and it was just really fun to read.
- The breakup arc was coming and despite expecting it, I also DID NOT expect it to happen the way it did and that was pretty nice. Made it exciting for me because I had to speedread to find out what would happen.

What I disliked:
- The wedding stuff, because ugh, I went through wedding prep by myself and it was TIRESOME. Reading about it is also ugh. The antagonists seemed a bit bland and was definitely just a plot device just to get Eli and Violet together more often. I didn't like it but it was necessary for the story I suppose.

It was just a really fun read. I am definitely a fan of Roxie Noir after this book.
