The Sunshine Court by Nora Sakavic

dark emotional sad

5.0

what did nora do how did she write this perfect book. 5/5 i cannot believe this ??!!! it was SO incredibly well written.

the way she handled jean's pov was EXCELLENT, the difference in his voice compared to neil's was terrifying. his healing journey, even tho he wouldn't call it that yet, was so natural what with all his thoughts and responses and the way he couldn't accept what was happening to him— then, and now. BUT HE'S GROWING AND LEARNING TO TRUST AND
he tapped out a quiet beat on his leg and counted. a cool evening breeze. rainbows. open roads. teammates. friends.

when neil appeared i started kicking my bed MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER BACK ON THE PAGE IN FRONT OF ME. i cannot. i love him endlessly. (let's not talk abt the jean/neil parallels. let's not.)

renee walker. i am bowing while drowning in my tears. kevin day, i am writing you love letters as we speak. jeremy knox. you are sunshine in human form i want to study you i love you. catjean bestfriendism i fear!! the catlailajerejean scenes were everything i needed. the trojans<3 lucas you silly little boy i love you. the jerejean scenes were not registered in my brain yet.

when we started with the events of the end of tkm through jean's pov, i was startled because how did nora write the chapters so damn well. it felt like a new story even though i knew what had happened. i felt giddy and excited and never bored.

all in all, what am i going to do with my life now while waiting for tsc2? i rest easy knowing nora is offline now writing yet another masterpiece<3333
